Nagarjuna Sagar Dam spans the Krishna River as one of India's great masonry dams and the visual centrepiece of this reservoir town. Viewpoints and the dam road give wide water and hill horizons, especially when gates open in season. Most itineraries start here before boats to Nagarjunakonda or a drive to Ethipothala.
