Camel's Back Road

A peaceful 3 km walking stretch between Kulri Bazaar and Library Chowk named after a rock formation resembling a camel's hump, popular for morning and evening strolls with views of the Doon Valley and Himalayan ranges.

Camel's Back Road is a 3 km scenic walking track that runs between Kulri Bazaar and Library Chowk on the northern edge of Mussoorie. The road takes its name from a distinctive rock formation along the route that resembles the hump of a camel.

The path offers unobstructed views of the Doon Valley on one side and forested slopes on the other, with glimpses of Himalayan peaks on clear days. It is one of the quietest and most atmospheric walks in Mussoorie, lined with old colonial-era bungalows and deodar trees. Horse riding is available along the road for those who prefer not to walk.

Best experienced early morning or at sunset when light is best and traffic is minimal. The road is closed to motor vehicles making it safe and peaceful for walkers.
