Worli Fort

Built by the British around 1675, Worli Fort once served as a lookout point on Worli Hill to watch for enemy ships approaching the coast. Today the fort is mostly open ruins, with old stone walls and gateways still standing among a small Hanuman temple and open ground inside. Its biggest draw now is the view, since the fort looks straight out over the Arabian Sea and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, especially striking at sunset. It sits inside the old Worli fishing village, so the walk up through narrow lanes adds a bit of local flavour before reaching the fort itself.
