Rajabai Clock Tower rises 85 metres inside the Fort campus of the University of Mumbai, right next to the Bombay High Court. Businessman Premchand Roychand funded its construction in the 1870s so his blind mother could hear the bell and know the time of day. The tower carries her name and blends Gothic and Venetian styles with detailed carvings. It stands close to CSMT and Marine Drive, so it fits easily into a South Mumbai heritage walk, though visitors can only view it from outside since entry inside the tower is not allowed.
