Powai Lake is a big artificial lake in the Powai area of central Mumbai, bordered by IIT Bombay on one side and Sanjay Gandhi National Park beyond the water. The lake gives the whole Powai neighbourhood its more relaxed, open feel compared to the density of the rest of the city. A promenade along parts of the lake makes it a popular spot for evening walks and joggers from nearby residential areas.
