Mount Mary Church

Perched on a hill above Bandra, Mount Mary Church, officially the Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, was first built by Portuguese missionaries and later rebuilt in its current form. Many devotees believe prayers made here are answered, which draws visitors from across faiths through the year. The church looks out over the Arabian Sea and sits close to Bandstand promenade. Its biggest draw is the week long Bandra Fair every September, when the area turns into a lively mix of prayer, food stalls, and crowds.
