Horniman Circle Garden sits at the centre of the Fort district, ringed by colonial era buildings that once housed the city's biggest banks and trading firms. Once known as Bombay Green, it was turned into a proper garden in the 1800s and later renamed after journalist Benjamin Horniman. Office workers use it for lunch breaks, and it hosts music events like the Kala Ghoda festival and the Ruhaniyat Sufi music series. The Asiatic Society Library sits right across from the main gate, making this a natural pause point on any Fort area heritage walk.
