Trevor's Tank

Peaceful British-era reservoir and crocodile sanctuary in forest 5 km from town popular for birdwatching and nature walks.

Trevor's Tank is a colonial-era reservoir created by British engineer Col. G.H. Trevor as a crocodile breeding facility, situated 5 km from Mount Abu within the wildlife sanctuary. Marsh crocodiles can often be seen basking on the banks, and the forested surroundings are rich in birdlife including kingfishers, peacocks, and parakeets. A small island in the lake is known locally as Ghost Island. The site is now part of Mount Abu's ecotourism circuit, popular for peaceful nature walks and photography away from the town's busier attractions.
