Raghunath Temple

Ancient 14th-century Vishnu temple on a forested hillside near Nakki Lake one of Mount Abu's quieter spiritual spots.

Raghunath Temple stands on a wooded hillside near Nakki Lake and is one of the oldest temples in Mount Abu, believed to date to the 14th century. It is dedicated to Lord Raghunath, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and was originally built by the Raghav dynasty. The temple follows Rajput architectural conventions and retains a calm unhurried atmosphere compared to the more tourist-facing sites in town. It is held in particular reverence during Diwali and Ram Navami celebrations, when the shrine is specially decorated and draws larger gatherings of local devotees.
