The Dilwara Jain Temples, built between the 11th and 13th centuries, are considered among the finest examples of Jain temple architecture in India. Five marble shrines make up the complex, each dedicated to a different Tirthankara, with the Vimal Vasahi and Luna Vasahi temples especially known for their intricately carved ceilings, pillars, and toranas. The marble work is so fine it appears almost translucent, and the site remains an active pilgrimage centre.
