Arbuda Devi Temple

Cave temple of Goddess Durga reached by 365 rock-cut steps considered one of the 51 Shakti Peethas.

Arbuda Devi Temple, also called Adhar Devi Mandir, is a cave shrine dedicated to Goddess Durga located 3 km north of Mount Abu. It is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, believed to mark where the lips of Goddess Sati fell. The temple is carved entirely from a single mass of rock, and the inner sanctum requires worshippers to crawl through a narrow passage to reach the deity. The 365 steps leading up, each symbolising a day of the year, offer panoramic views of the hill station.
