Longwa Village

Longwa Village is Nagaland's most famous Konyak destination, sitting directly on the India Myanmar border roughly 42 kilometers from Mon town. The Angh's house here is split between the two nations, with locals joking that the chief eats in India and sleeps in Myanmar. The Angh traditionally rules over more than 70 villages on both sides of the border, and residents hold dual citizenship, crossing freely without a visa. Visitors can view brass skull necklaces once worn as symbols of headhunting victories and stand at the international boundary pillar itself.
