Mopungchuket Village lies about 16.6 kilometers from Mokokchung town and has earned a reputation as one of the cleanest villages in Nagaland. The village is closely tied to the legend of Jina and Etiben, an Ao tale of doomed love often compared to Romeo and Juliet, and their story shapes much of the local folklore told to visitors. A small lake near the village offers boating, and a guest house nearby makes it easy to linger over an afternoon.
