Mokokchung District Museum

Mokokchung District Museum houses a compact but rich collection of Ao Naga heritage, gathered from villages across the district. Exhibits include traditional weapons, ceremonial jewelry, woven shawls, and household objects that trace the everyday life of the Ao people before and after the arrival of Christianity. Wooden carvings and headgear reflect the region's pre colonial customs, while photographs and information panels add context for visitors unfamiliar with Naga history. The museum works as a first stop before heading to villages.
