Kirti Torana marks the formal approach from Surya Kund up to the sabha mandapa at Modhera. Only the tall carved pillars survive of the once complete ceremonial arch, yet they remain a distinct stop for architecture lovers. The mouldings echo the temple's Maru-Gurjara ornament and frame the stair descent to the kund. Photographers often pause here for aligned views of the hall and tank.
