Meenmutty Falls

Wayanad's second highest waterfall, reached by forest trek from near Meppadi, cascading in three tiers.

Falling close to 300 meters in three tiers, Meenmutty Falls ranks among Kerala's tallest waterfalls, set within the Meppadi forest range near the Tamil Nadu border. Reaching the base requires a forest trail of about a kilometer, passing through dense tree cover before the falls come into view. The trek can be uneven and slippery during monsoon, and a local guide is recommended for less experienced hikers, who make up a steady share of visitors here.
