Mayapur Ghat

Mayapur Ghat is the main riverside ghat on the Ganga (Bhagirathi) at Mayapur, serving as the primary bathing and pilgrimage ghat for the thousands of devotees and pilgrims who visit the ISKCON Mayapur complex. The ghat is especially busy during Gaura Purnima, when pilgrims take ritual dips in the sacred river as part of the celebrations of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's appearance. Boat rides from the ghat offer views of the confluence of the Jalangi and Ganga rivers. The evening Ganga Aarti at Mayapur Ghat is a peaceful ceremony that has been growing in popularity as the pilgrimage site develops.
