Perched on Tarna Hill, Tarna Devi Temple honors Goddess Shyama Kali, an incarnation of Parvati, and was constructed by King Shyam Sen during the seventeenth century. Reaching the shrine requires climbing 305 steps from the main bazaar below, a modest trek rewarded with sweeping views over Mandi town and the Beas valley. The temple's elevated position and quieter surroundings offer a contrast to the busier temples closer to the town center. Locals often visit in the early morning or evening to combine worship with the panoramic outlook.
