Panchvaktra Temple

Sacred Shiva temple at the confluence of the Suketi and Beas rivers.

Set at the meeting point of the Suketi and Beas rivers, Panchvaktra Temple is regarded as the most sacred among Mandi's many Shiva shrines. A large Shiva statue dominates the sanctum, while the temple's main porch, known as the mandap, rests on four intricately carved pillars. The riverside setting adds to the temple's spiritual atmosphere, drawing devotees for both worship and the simple calm of watching the two rivers merge. Its combination of architectural detail and natural setting makes it one of the more photographed religious sites in town.
