Sculpture Museum

Sculpture Museum at Mahabalipuram is a small but significant museum displaying sculptures and architectural fragments from Pallava and medieval periods excavated from the Mahabalipuram area. The collection provides close-up views of sculptural details that complement the experience of the UNESCO Heritage monuments nearby. Exhibits include carved figures, inscriptions, architectural elements, and sculptural panels that did not find their place in the main monuments but contribute to understanding the artistic traditions of Pallava South India. The museum is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
