India Seashell Museum at Mahabalipuram is a privately run museum housing one of the largest collections of seashells in India, with over 4 lakh specimens from Indian and international waters. The museum was established by a shell collector and educator and features specimens ranging from tiny micro-shells to enormous giant clams. The collection includes rare and colourful shells from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Lakshadweep archipelago, and international oceans. Exhibits are carefully labelled with scientific and common names, making it both educational and visually stunning for visitors of all ages.
