Wilson Point, also called Sunrise Point, is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar at 1,439 metres and the only viewpoint offering a full 360-degree panorama of the surrounding hills and valleys. Named after Sir Leslie Wilson, the British Governor of Bombay, it has three watchtowers on its plateau and is the most sought-after sunrise destination in the hill station. Visitors typically arrive well before dawn to witness the Sahyadri landscape emerge from darkness in layers of gold and mist.
