Lingmala Waterfall on the Mahabaleshwar-Pune road cascades in two tiers through dense forest, with the upper fall dropping about 500 feet and the smaller Dhobi Fall visible nearby. A forest trail from the car park leads through dense Sahyadri vegetation to the viewing point, offering both the waterfall and a view of Chinaman's Waterfall across the valley. The falls are at their most spectacular during and just after the monsoon, when water volume is at peak. The forested approach makes the short trek itself worthwhile.
