Madurai Government Museum

Madurai Government Museum in Tamukkam area is one of the oldest museums in Tamil Nadu, housing a collection of sculptures, bronzes, inscriptions, coins, and archaeological artefacts from the Madurai and surrounding regions. The museum's bronze collection from the Nayak and Chola periods is particularly noteworthy.
