Lachen's evening street market lines a short stretch of the village and gives visitors a glimpse of everyday Lachenpa life away from the excursion routes. Vendors sell woolen shawls, blankets, and carpets woven from yak and sheep wool alongside wooden souvenirs and daily household goods. The market runs modestly compared to bigger Sikkim towns, but its unhurried pace and friendly bargaining make for an easy stop before or after a day trip to Gurudongmar or Kalapatthar.
