Prag Mahal rises next to Aina Mahal in Bhuj, its Italian Gothic architecture and durbar hall reflecting a deliberate departure from traditional Kutchi palace design. Visitors can climb around sixty spiral steps to the top of its forty five metre clock tower for a panoramic view of the town. The palace has appeared in several Bollywood and regional films, adding to its popularity among photographers. Though parts of the structure remain in a state of ruin, the surviving halls and tower still draw steady footfall.
