Hamirsar Lake sits at the centre of Bhuj's old town, a historic reservoir that has long served as the city's water source and social gathering point. A walk along its edge connects several of Bhuj's major heritage sites, including Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal, Kutch Museum and the Ramkund Stepwell. The lake is especially photogenic around sunset, when the surrounding walking paths fill with locals and visitors alike. It offers a relaxed, unhurried pace amid a day otherwise packed with palaces and museums.
