Sheikh Chilli's Tomb in Thanesar is a 17th-century Mughal complex built to house the remains of the Sufi saint Abd-ur-Rahim, popularly known as Sheikh Chilli, who was the spiritual preceptor of Mughal prince Dara Shikoh. The mausoleum, madrasa and mosque are arranged around a formal garden and represent some of the finest Persian-influenced Mughal architecture in Haryana, with intricate marble inlay work on the tomb facade. The complex is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and also contains an archaeological museum.
