Mammadev Temple

15th-century temple and kund below the fort, with cenotaphs linked to Mewar history.

Mammadev Temple sits just below the fort with an associated kund (reservoir) built in Rana Kumbha's time. The site once held inscribed slabs recording early Mewar history, now kept in Udaipur, and still features memorial chhatris nearby. It is a quieter stop than the main palace climb and fits easily on the way up or down from the fort gates. Mornings are cooler for the short walk from the approach road.
