Vizhinjam Lighthouse is the red and white tower that gives Lighthouse Beach its name, standing about 35 metres on the Kurumkal headland. Climbing the spiral stairs opens views across Kovalam's three crescents, Vizhinjam harbour, and the open Arabian Sea. Afternoon opening hours are typical, so check before you go.
