Samudra Beach is the northernmost of Kovalam's three main crescents and stays quieter than Lighthouse Beach. Open sand, resort frontage, and boat watching define the stretch more than packed shacks. The sea can be rough, so many visitors come for walks and sunset rather than long swims. It is a good base if you want space while still staying close to the lighthouse strip.
