Kodaikanal Lake is a distinctive star-shaped artificial lake surrounded by lush Palani Hills. Created in 1863 by Sir Vere Henry Levinge, it remains the soul of the town. Visitors can enjoy boating in rowboats or pedal boats, cycling around the scenic two-kilometre walking path, or simply strolling along the shoreline. The lake often attracts early morning walkers and offers magical evening views amid mist-covered hills.
