The Kerala Folklore Museum in Kochi is a privately run heritage museum spread across three floors of a traditionally constructed building incorporating architectural elements from different regions of Kerala. The museum houses over 4,000 artefacts including household utensils, folk art, ritual objects, traditional musical instruments, puppets, masks, costumes, and items related to Kerala's oral traditions and performing arts. The building itself is constructed using century-old timber, traditional tiles, and architectural elements rescued from historic Kerala homes. The museum is considered one of the finest folk museums in South Asia.
