Hill Palace Museum in Tripunithura near Kochi is the largest archaeological museum in Kerala, spread across a 54-acre estate. The palace was the official residence of the Cochin Royal Family and was built in 1865. The museum houses over 1,000 exhibits including royal portraits, paintings, bronze sculptures, ivory items, royal costumes, manuscripts, weapons, and antique furniture from the Cochin royal collection. The palace complex features 49 rooms and also has a deer park, a heritage garden, and a children's park. It provides an intimate and comprehensive look at Kerala's royal heritage.
