Backwater Cruise Point

The Backwater Cruise Point at Ernakulam Boat Jetty is the main departure point for scenic boat rides across Kochi's iconic backwaters and harbour. From here, government ferries and private cruise boats connect Fort Kochi, Willingdon Island, Mattancherry, Vypeen Island, and other parts of the city across the water. The boat ride across Kochi harbour offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea, container ships, naval vessels, and the historic Chinese fishing nets. This is also where tourists board houseboats for longer backwater journeys towards Alleppey and the Kerala backwater network.
