Parswanath Temple in Khajuraho is the largest Jain temple in the Eastern Group and is named after Parshvanatha, the 23rd Tirthankara of Jainism. Built in the 10th century during the Chandela period, the temple is remarkable for its exceptionally detailed and sensuous sculptural decoration — unusually for a Jain temple, many of the carvings depict Hindu goddesses including Vishnu, Brahma, and Lakshmi, suggesting shared artistic traditions. The temple's high plinth, intricately carved exterior, and well-preserved condition make it one of the finest temples in Khajuraho's Eastern cluster.
