Ken River

Ken River flows through the Khajuraho region and Panna National Park, forming one of the most scenic river corridors in Madhya Pradesh. The river originates in the Vindhya Range and is a tributary of the Yamuna. In the Khajuraho area the Ken passes through beautiful ravines and rocky terrain, offering opportunities for boat rides, picnics, and wildlife watching. The Ken–Betwa river interlinking project, which involves this river, has been a subject of significant environmental debate due to its potential impact on the Ken River Gharial Sanctuary and the forest ecosystem of Panna National Park.
