Kaza Market anchors Kaza Khas, the older half of town, where the bus stand and a cluster of shops form the commercial centre of the entire Spiti valley. Traders sell woollen shawls, prayer flags, Buddhist souvenirs, dried seabuckthorn and local barley products alongside everyday supplies for travellers heading further into the valley. The narrow lanes stay busy through the short tourist season, and the market remains the only reliable place in Spiti to stock up on essentials before venturing toward Kibber, Langza or Komic. It is as much a social hub as a shopping stop.
