Kausani Tea Estate is one of the few tea operations at this height in Kumaon, with rows of bushes dropping down the ridge below town. Visitors walk the terraces and can buy tea from the estate outlet when it is open. The gardens give a different view of the same Himalayan line you see from the ashram. Stay in Kausani and go in the morning while the bushes are still in shade.
