Anashakti Ashram, also called Gandhi Ashram, is a simple study centre in Kausani on the ridge above town. Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for about two weeks in 1929 and worked on his Gita commentary published as Anasakti Yoga. The terrace is one of the clearest Himalayan viewpoints in Kausani itself. Stay in Kausani and walk up in the morning, then continue a few minutes to the Pant Museum.
