Himkoti is a serene vantage point on the Tarakote Marg route from Ardh Kuwari to the Vaishno Devi Bhawan, roughly 8 km from Katra. It offers sweeping panoramic views of the lush Trikuta valleys and surrounding hill ranges. The route through Himkoti is 0.5 km shorter than the traditional path and free of horse traffic, making it quieter and more suitable for walkers. The Shrine Board is developing the area with landscaped gardens, an artificial lake, and a meditation centre. Food stalls, medical facilities, and oxygen cylinders are available on site.
