Baba Dhansar

Baba Dhansar is a revered Shiva temple situated near the Karua Jheel in Reasi district, roughly 13 to 15 km from Katra on the road toward Salal. The shrine houses a naturally formed Shivlinga fed by constant water drips from an overhead spring. A short descent from the road leads through forest trails to a series of cascading waterfalls that merge with the Chenab river. Around 100 stone steps lead to the temple complex, which is especially vibrant during Shivratri celebrations and draws pilgrims combining a visit here with the Vaishno Devi yatra.
