Kanpur Memorial Church, formally All Souls' Cathedral, is a Gothic Revival church built in 1875 as a memorial to the British soldiers and civilians who died during the 1857 Revolt siege and massacre at Kanpur. The elegant red-brick structure with its pointed arches and a 40-metre spire is one of the finest examples of Gothic ecclesiastical architecture in North India. The church stands within a large memorial garden containing a memorial screen and a well (the Sati Chaura Ghat memorial) commemorating the events of 1857. The church is an active Anglican cathedral and an important heritage site.
