Payyambalam Beach is Kannur's main in-town shoreline, a long sandy stretch with landscaped gardens and a popular mother-and-child sculpture. Evenings draw walkers for Arabian Sea sunsets and views of ships along the Malabar coast. The quieter Baby Beach pocket sits nearby toward the fort side. It works well as a sunset stop after St. Angelo Fort or the Kannur Lighthouse.
