Arignar Anna Zoological Park

Arignar Anna Zoological Park sits about five kilometers from Kanchipuram within a reserve forest and offers a change of pace from the town's temple heavy itinerary, with enclosures for reptiles, an aviary, a butterfly house, and a nocturnal animal exhibit. A lion safari adds a further draw for families and younger visitors. While not unique on a national scale, its proximity makes it a convenient half day addition for those travelling with children.
