Kalpetta Main Market

Kalpetta Main Market runs through the heart of the town near the bus stand, serving as Wayanad's principal trading hub for cash crops and local produce. Stalls and shops sell freshly roasted coffee, black pepper, cardamom and other spices grown on the surrounding hills, alongside honey, tea and handicrafts made from bamboo and coconut shell. The market reflects Kalpetta's long standing role as the commercial centre through which Wayanad's plantation produce moves out to the rest of Kerala.
