Thengal Manor, also known as Thengal Bhawan, was built in 1880 by Rai Bahadur Siva Prasad Barooah and stands as one of Jorhat's finest surviving colonial era mansions. The restored bungalow features high ceilinged halls, ornate wooden carvings and period furnishings that capture the grandeur of Assam's tea planting aristocracy. Inside, galleries display vintage photographs, manuscripts and cultural artifacts connected to the region's literary and social history.
