Durgadevi is a hilly safari zone in the north east of Jim Corbett National Park, along the Ramganga and Mandal rivers. It is better known for birds and scenery than for big cat sightings, with river views, steep forested slopes and a chance of mahseer in the water, elephants, leopards and Himalayan birds.
Durgadevi is open from 15 November to 15 June. Safaris start from the Durgadevi gate, which is a longer drive from Ramnagar than the southern zones, so allow time for an early start. Book permits on the official portal corbettonline.uk.gov.in; only registered safari gypsies with authorised guides may enter. For the 2026 to 2027 season, Durgadevi bookings opened on 1 October 2026.
