Purmandal Temple Complex

Cluster of ancient temples on the Devika River, known as Chhota Kashi for its resemblance to Varanasi.

Purmandal Temple Complex sits on the banks of the Devika River and is often called Chhota Kashi for its resemblance to the holy city of Varanasi. The site gathers a cluster of ancient temples dedicated to Shiva, Parvati, and other Hindu deities, drawing pilgrims for its historic religious significance. Though roughly 30 kilometres from Jammu, its status as a major regional pilgrimage centre makes it worth the drive.
