Mubarak Mandi Palace, the former royal residence of the Dogra kings, overlooks the Tawi River and reflects a blend of Rajasthani, Mughal, and European architectural influences accumulated over generations. The palace has endured over three dozen fires through its history along with earthquake damage in the 1980s and 2005, yet its surviving wings still convey the grandeur of Dogra rule. Restoration work continues on parts of the complex.
